SUMMER CAMP SIGN UP INSTRUCTIONS
To sign up for summer camp, logon to scoutbook and click on you and or your scouts in the summer camp event.
Then click yes on the pop up that appears over you and or your scouts picture.
Once that is taken care of, click on the link at the bottom of this page labeled medical forms. Then download them, print and fill out Parts A, B1, & B2 and make sure to hand them in at a troop meeting or email them. Part C must be filled out by a doctor and handed in by May 23rd 2025. We need medical forms for all scouts and adults that are going. If part C is not filled out or handed in, then that participant CAN NOT ATTEND summer camp.
If you as an adult want to go to summer camp with the troop, you must make sure that you are registered with the troop / BSA and that your youth protection training is up to date. (my.scouting.org)
Let us know if you are going, how many scouts you can help to transport or if you are going but will need a ride.
The cost is $400.00 per scout and $250.00 per adult for the week.
*** Adults that are only attending a couple of days, can pay per day if they want at a cost of $50.00 per day ***
For payment there are many options:
You can hand in a check before May 1st 2025 at a troop meeting.
You can pay cash before May 1st 2025 at a troop meeting.
You can pay via credit card or paypal by clicking on https://bsatroop131.org/payments/
You can use your scout's account by reaching out to the treasurer to check the balance.
We will not be registering anyone past May 14th 2025.
Next, print out the daily schedule from the link at the bottom of this page.
The daily schedule will give the rundown of when the scouts will be doing each activity each day.
You will notice that there are blocks in the daily schedule that say Merit Badge Class #1, #2, #3, and #4.
Those are the times that the scouts will be attending each merit badge class. Your scout will need to pick which merit badge classes they would like to attend. The class times and availability with the merit badge class form is at the bottom of the page under the merit badges button.
Shooting merit badges, and anything to do with the water / waterfront / pool, fill up quickly so have alternate choices.
*** Be aware that some merit badges cost extra beyond the normal $400.00 camp fee, this is to cover insurance costs and or materials needed.*** You can pay those fees once we have the class schedule set for your scout.
Any attendees that plan on being in the water must take a swim test (that includes adults who are going).
We will be holding swim tests between now and summer camp. But, you can also print out the test form and procedures, which are in a link at the bottom of this page, and have the test signed off by any registered lifeguard (make sure to photocopy or take a picture of the lifeguard's certification credentials and hand it in to us).
